A superb view of the Matterhorn!

We received a warm welcome, and the hosts were always available whenever we needed them. The bus stop right outside the building entrance and the proximity to local amenities were very convenient. The hosts’ friendliness was also remarkable.

Such a lovely short break in Zermatt.

Great location, very quiet, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Spacious rooms and a fully equipped kitchen, in a remarkably central location. And Zermatt’s legendary hospitality, with friendly and discreet hosts. We’d recommend it 100%  There were even games for the family to play in the evenings 😉

Our family, including our dog, felt very welcome here, and we had a lovely stay.

Chalet Z’Wichjehüs is a real gem. The building itself is superbly designed, and the owners have thought of everything to ensure guests have a wonderful stay in the chalet. The kitchen is fully equipped, the furniture is of the highest quality, the beds are luxurious and everything is so clean and well-maintained. The ever-changing view of the Matterhorn from the living room or balcony is mesmerising. And it’s just a short walk to the gondola lift, restaurants and shops, or a free bus ride – the bus stop is right on the doorstep.

We had an unforgettable stay in this beautiful chalet. It offers one of the most stunning views imaginable. Everything was spotlessly clean and very well looked after. Ms Barbara was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and communicating with her was a real pleasure. We felt right at home from the very first moment. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and would love to come back. Highly recommended!

Award-winning and highly recommended

A magnificent property situated just outside the town, which was ideal for us as we love going for walks. But if needed, there’s a free bus that leaves right outside the door! The accommodation is modern, well-equipped and offers a superb view of the Matterhorn (on clear days 😃: we had two out of four, so brilliant!). The beds are comfortable in the spacious bedrooms, the bathroom is a good size and the living/dining/kitchen area is very cosy. There are plenty of balconies to enjoy the outdoors. A key-operated lift leads directly to the flat – so it’s very secure. There’s a ski room for boots and skis (in winter), etc. We were warmly welcomed by Johnny and saw Bianca when we left – it was perfect, as it meant we had no complaints whatsoever 😁

Location

The Z’Wichjehues Zermatt is located in the quiet Winkelmatten neighbourhood above Zermatt. With the electric bus directly in front of the house, you can reach the village centre quickly and comfortably. Only one stop away from the house you will find the cablecar to Furri, with which you can reach the entire ski area. In winter you can ski directly in front of the house.

Zermatt is located at the end of the Mattertal on the Italian border. The village is completely car-free. Arrival is possible by car as well as by train. There is a shuttle train from Täsch every 20 minutes.
